DESIGN BRIEF
Full internal restoration. To sensitively restore the deteriorated interior and preserve for future generations.
challenges
To preserve the original fabric of the building, restoring and repairing the original lime plaster that was in varying stages of decay creating an interior that was true to its original form whilst extending maintenance cycles for the elderly occupant.
DETAILS
Working closely with our product suppliers and manufacturers we developed a fully vapour permeable repair system using breathable skim coat plasters and glass fibre meshes embedded to stitch back the original lime plaster. This offered a reversible solution of repair. Breathable fire resistant glass fibre fleece lining was used to line all the restored surfaces prior to finish painting. This too was fully removable in the event further restorations where necessary in the future.
